In these experiments with air bubbles, de-ionized water was used as liquid phase in the Shadowgraphy experiments, while in the PIV and LIF experiments a mixture of de-ionized water, resazurin, glucose and sodium hydroxide was used. The dynamic viscosity of this mixture is close the water, 1.1 mPa s.
Air bubble parameters were determined at 5, 7.5 and 10 l/h gas flow rates, while the liquid velocity and the equivalent oxygen concentration change were measured at 6 and 8 l/h gas flow rates.
