In these experiments CO₂ and air bubble curtain were generated with four nozzles (id=0.25 mm) placed in-line in the centre of the sparger plate.

In all cases the bubble column was filled with 11.3 l of a solution and the bubbles rise in a stagnant liquid.

For a better spatial resolution, the bubble column has been divided into several measurement sections.
