Bubble column reactor geometry

The bubble column with an external diameter of 0.15m and a height of 0.8m was made from acrylic glass with a thickness of 4mm and was surrounded by a rectangular acrylic box. This box contained de-ionized water for a better refractive index matching.
Preliminary experiments have prooved, that this gives better results, than to match the index of acrylic glass.
The bottom of the bubble column can be changed from a single nozzle gas outlet to a bottom with 4 in-line nozzles, which are spaced by 2.2cm.
The nozzles are stainless steel capillaries with an inner diameter of 0.25mm.
